This podcast launch guide will help you as a business owner start your podcast so you can reach your ideal audience.
Creating a podcast allows you to reach a different audience group.
Some people might like reading content, others may like watching videos, while others may like listening to podcasts.
That is why repurposing your content is important.
Covering all your bases - written, video and audio contents - will help you reach a wider audience which you cannot reach if you focus on one alone.
Asking this question will keep you on the right track and keep you motivated to get your podcast going.
Just like in creating marketing plans where you create a "buyer persona," your podcast should have a "listener persona."
At the podcast launch, I recommend you have 3 episodes launched all at the same time. The reasoning behind this is that if people like you podcast, then they will likely look for and listen to other episodes.
The other 2 are what we call buffer content so you don't feel overwhelmed to record new episodes of your podcast.
2. Get your podcast equipment
- My recommend podcast microphone for beginners is the Audio-Technica ATR2100-USB Cardioid Dynamic USB/XLR Microphone
3. Create 3 test recordings to make sure that your software and hardware are working properly
That's it! And enjoy podcasting.
